The socks have turned up at last!  Wish I knew where they'd been, it really can't take that long to get from my phone to BloggerLand can it??

This was my first ever sock and I was just so pleased that I managed to make a fully functioning clothing item that I forgave the fact that I completely fluffed up the utterly confounding kitchener stitch on the toe :-(

So then I got some really nice sock yarn and started this one

And i'm loving every minute of it.  Sock knitting ROCKS.  Fact.

Ok so it's been over a year.

With that out of the way, thought i'd share my latest love with you.  Sock knitting.  It's all Lucy in the Attic's fault.  Herewith sock number one:
Hang on, that's a dog not a sock!  I don't know why but I just can't get the hang of cloud sharing.  Sock pic is in hyperspace between my phone, the cloud and the computer.  I don't know how far away the cloud is (I imagine pretty far right??) but i'm sure it'll turn up soon.  At which point I shall share it.
In the meantime, nice pic of me and Son & Heir on recent trip to Wingham Wildlife Park.  Happy day.
No the sock still hasn't landed in the cloud.  Might take me another year to work out why.....

Oh and i've realised i've accidentally deleted my last two posts (yeah they were a year old) and there appears to be no possible way of ever recovering them every again.  Now I remember why I found this blogging lark such a pain!

At Last...

At last I have made something! There has been an extraordinarily long journey before this picture. A journey of finding space and time, two of the most difficult elements to locate for a busy working mum in a tiny home.  But I found it and oh how I've relished that moment! After years (12 to be precise) of waiting I've managed to shoehorn myself into a spare area and can sit down with my things around me at a moment's notice and MAKE.

And there she is in all her glory! It's a Lili of the Valley stamp Positively Pampered - I'm working on building a collection and this is one of my favourites.  She's coloured with Inktense pencils which I'm still learning with.  The die is the stitched rounded rectangles from Die Namics. Love ittttttttt

But oh wow it's an actual card - it's been a few years since I've got anything to completion so forgive me for trumpeting this moment!

THE BRAVE NEW WORLD

Where did my blog go...
Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away I had this blog:

http://suchfluffynonsense.blogspot.co.uk

But I can't seem to access it anymore so i'll have to start a new one won't I!

Here is where I will plop pictures of my merry makes for all eternity so that, hopefully, I can see how I progress.  I'm an amateur card maker come sewer come embroiderer come crocheter.  So many things I want to try.

I loved having the blog before as it keeps all of my favourite bloggers and shops and inspiration together in one place.  I wont blog every day, it's as and when I find the time in the busy whirlwind of life.

Let's begin.
